If you're like me you don't know much about cars. You probably also hate going in for service checks / repairs because you worry that the person on the other side of the counter is going to take you for all you're worth. Not here. Rick and the rest of the staff at F.A.T.S. Service treated me with respect, honesty, and understanding. They made my vehicle's issues make sense to my layman's brain and helped make the best choice for me. I will be bringing my business back here whenever I need future service.

I have used F.A.T.S service for almost 2 years now for routine services. The staff is very knowledgeable and accommodating. Rick and the mechanics are patient enough to explain charges and repairs to me when I have questions and concerns, which is quite often 😊. I have even called Rick up from Autozone to ask what type of oil substitute could I buy for my Diesel SUV when Autozone and O’Reilys were out of the specific type of oil my vehicle manual recommends. I really appreciate having a team that I can rely on!

Chris and Gil are super helpful and knowledgeable. Fast service, decently priced, and top notch customer service. Dropped car off for a diagnosis, and they had the power steering fixed, along with an inspection partially completed by the next morning. It didn't break the bank, and Chris was able to get my truck back to me way faster than anywhere else in town. Consider me a customer for life, because they do such a great job, I'm spoiled.

Wonderful service for a fair price. I bring all my work here minus select specialty services. Not sure what that noise is? Unable to diagnose a systemic problem? Standard service work out of your scope? These guys will save your day and not Rob you doing it. Was referred here when Specialized was full and not taking on any more work. Expect a wait list, common wait times average around a week or two, depending on time of year. Cars serviced well in my experience here include our '02 Toyota Sequoia and '12 Subaru Outback with much different issues.

If I could rate F.A.T.S. Auto Service more than 5 stars I definitely would. I was in great need of some assistance to get my truck looked at before it gets shipped out to the lower 48. All auto services wouldn’t help me because they were at least a week out from booking anyone else minus F.A.T.S. They too were over booked but was willing to help someone who had no where else to go. They were able to diagnose my truck and fix the issue with a reasonable cost estimate the same day! When I picked the truck I was surprised that F.A.T.S. not just fixed my truck, they were also able to reduce the cost even more when I checked out. I truly stand behind and recommend their services. Excellent and professional staff who takes care of vehicles as if it was theirs.

I was recommended to FATS by another mechanic shop and am very glad that I did. They are very professional and easy to talk to. I got my starter replaced on my VW here and the turn around time was fast. Yes they often have a lot of business but that’s simply because they do a good job. They’re simple people who do honest work. I’ll definitely go back for any other mechanic needs!

Rick and his crew are efficient and reliable. I truly appreciate how flexible they are for those who have to travel 2 hrs to get service. I had a service light come on and then it turned off after a few days. Rick said it would probably come back on and to keep my appointment. It did and I’m glad that they were able to fix the problem in one day.

So I was referred to FATS from another mechanic shop. I don’t live in Anchorage and I’m only there a couple days a month for work. I called and got the manager Josh. Told him the situation that I was flying in 4 days from now. He said no problem since I was bringing the hard to get part with my from Michigan. He said just drop the keys and leave the car when you land in the early morning. They not only squeezed me in but they replaced my wiper motor for 1/3 the price BMW was going to charge me. They replaced it in under 3 hours $150 LESS than what was quoted to me over the phone!!! Nobody comes in less than the quote! Amazing service and will only use them from now on!

Great service from start to finish, my vehicle was misdiagnosed and was recomend to bring it here for 2nd option. They figured out the problem right away and took care of other issues within a reasonable time, 10/10 would recommend
